Position Description
We are looking for an energetic Software QA developer to join our team to help us accelerate innovative developments. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation of architectural concepts and engineering capabilities who is able to independently propose and implement changes to all aspects of a complex Web application.
The team is fully remote and in a fast-paced, dynamic incubator mode, and the successful candidate must thrive in this environment.
As an SDET, the person must have experience in both Automation Testing and Functional Testing (4-7 years).

- Project experience using an Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum)
- Develop and execute automation tests for new and existing features.
- Learn, maintain, improve, and expand the existing automation framework.
- Work closely with the Regression team, BAs, and Product Owners to identify gaps in automation coverage.
- Debug issues identified through automation and work with the development teams to document and resolve these issues.
Requirements
- Test case management
- Ensure features are logged appropriately. Learning the product to understand what test cases exist/missing.
- Work with the development team to identify which test cases are automated. (We expect developers to continue owning automated tests, but room to transfer ownership or share ownership of those.)
- Strong functional/manual testing background, including defining test strategy, test planning, test case design, and execution
- Agile testing experience
- Proficiency in Mobile Testing Tools
- Comfortable in Android Studio / Xcode and can deploy to a simulator or device.
- Familiar with mobile testing paradigms (IE: testing data service or wifi parameters, device settings altered, etc.)
- Test Automation Exposure
- Familiar enough with automated technology to know the limitations.
- Exposure to Test script development, execution and debugging for faster learning
- Exposure to continuous integration (Jenkins/CicleCI).
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail, strong communication skills
Additional Skills Desired
- Comfortable or willing to learn native automated testing: For iOS automation is in XCUI. For Android automation is in Espresso, Node Testing or Appium for Appium Plugin
- Ability / Will to learn to change a framework in an Xcode or Android Studio project
- Writing or willing to learn to write native code to build more robust examples for testing
- Comfortable or willing to learn mobile accessibility basics to interpret and understand rule results
