Share on FacebookShare on LinkedInShare on Twitter

The topic for November's tweetchat is Accessibility Certification - Good Idea, Bad Idea?  Back at the beginning of the year at CSUN 2012, there was some active debate on the subject, and we'd like to revisit that discussion.

We have some reading we'd like you to do in preparation:

1. Considering the Case for Creating an International Society of Accessibility Professionals - Knowbility

2. "Taking Accessibility Mainstream: Making the Case for an International Society of Accessibility Professionals" - ATiA

  1. WCAG Standards (as possible basis for certification): Information technology -- W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 andWCAG 2.0 is now also ISO/IEC 40500!

  2. Accessibility Certification: The Devil is in the Details - WebAIM

The November #a11ychat is on November 19th from  5-6pm EST.  Stay tuned for the #a11ychat twebevent link.
