The Department of Heath and Human Services is hosting the first annual Technology Accessibility and Inclusion Conference (a11y@HHS) on May 7th in Silver Spring, Maryland. Over 300 are expected to attend this one-day event, where they will visit sessions and an exhibit hall, and network with industry peers. The conference goal is to broaden the dialog concerning accessibility and inclusion.
The conference is aimed at employees of the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as its Operating Divisions. “Sessions will cover acquisitions planning, emerging assistive technologies; web accessibility; enterprise accessibility compliance monitoring; technology/methods for workplace inclusion and education; and legal ramifications, accessible conferences, and experiences of persons with disabilities in the HHS workforce.”
Deque is thrilled to be a part of this event, and will be presenting a session called “Enhancing 508 Compliance through the use of Accessibility Software,” from 2:30-3:15. If you are attending this conference, be sure to stop by our table in the exhibit hall.[hs_action id=”6657″]
