Looking Ahead: Deque Systems at USBLN 2017

The USBLN is a national non-profit that focuses on business-to-business partnerships to develop and share strategies for people with disabilities in the workplace, supply chain, and marketplace.

The theme for this year's conference is "Disability: A Catalyst for Innovation". The conversation around disability and inclusion is no longer a niche term, it is now a key component for companies' innovation and success. This year's conference is expected to be record-breaking in numbers and now includes a Technology Track. We can't wait to see what's in store, and we hope to see you there!

Our Involvement

Deque Systems is a proud Sapphire sponsor for this year's conference. Creating Accessible Content

In order for companies to communicate inclusively and effectively, both internally and externally, content needs to be accessible. We will walk through the business case on why this is important for organizations and what you can do to help ensure content accessibility is top of mind for your teams. In this session, companies will share best practices and strategies to promote the creation of accessible emails, documents, media, PowerPoints, and more.

  1. Demonstrate the use of assistive technology that interfaces with accessible and not-so-accessible content.
  2. Learn three simple things to do to make all content more accessible for employees and customers with disabilities.

Innovations in Accessible Technology

Join business leaders as they share the latest innovations in accessible technology research. Companies will discuss their journeys into innovation projects that focus on people with disabilities, lessons learned, and strategies for moving from research to reality. How 'Inclusive Design' can ensure that innovation embraces disability as a part of being human, with designs that empower everyone. Demos will include the latest IoT innovations to make your home smarter, wayfinding technology for people who are Blind, etc.
