accessibility storiesAs you know, Deque focuses on web accessibility software. Much of our days are spent talking about the important details of how to help an organization to become accessible. We talk about risk, about technology, about coding, and about organizational change. As important as these topics are, web accessibility is also about people. It's about making sure that everyone has the opportunity to use digital resources to do their jobs, to do important tasks like manage their money and healthcare, and to have fun.

An Idea Was Born

Last year at CSUN, we were inspired. We had so many interactions with so many remarkable people in the community that we recognized there was an opportunity to tell their stories, to share how an accessible online world enabled people with disablities to learn, work, and play. Today we are launching a video series called Accessibility Stories. Together, the videos highlight the reason digital equality is essential. Please enjoy our premiere video, Aleeha's Story -

Stay tuned to our blog for more accessibility stories over the next few weeks. We want to continue to share the importance and the impact of digital equality for everyone. If you, or someone you know would make a good accessibility story, please email Tyler Steben with your nomination. We would love to hear from you!

If you would like to learn more about digital accessibility -

For over fifteen years, Deque has been helping major corporations, government agencies, and other organizations ensure that their websites and mobile apps are accessible to everyone. We have more than fifteen years of history of serving the federal government, including undertaking the biggest accessibility program that's occurred in the United States government or anywhere. Deque also works with .edu's and mission-focused nonprofits to ensure that their materials and systems are usable and barrier free for users with disabilities. The company invented the first accessibility plug-in software, the first web-based testing platform, and the first server-based accessibility solution. All of these have been created in the service of helping our customers become accessible, advance the goals of their organization, and remove barriers for all users on the web.
