Before you begin your website accessibility project you need to know what to expect. A Planning phase assessment helps you to understand what your current situation is, what your risks are or what kind of effort you’ll need to invest into accessibility. There are three assessments to choose from, based on your needs.

Accessibility Blueprint

Don’t know where to start? The Accessibility Blueprint is the best way to begin the process of making your web content and applications accessible to users with disabilities. The accessibility experts at Deque will perform everything you need to get started.

We’ll evaluate your site against a chosen accessibility standard (e.g., WCAG or Section 508) using our proven methodology involving a blend of manual and automated techniques. We hold stakeholder interviews, and conduct both automated testing, via our WorldSpace product, as well as manual testing performed by Deque’s world-renowned experts. You’ll receive thoughtful recommendations about how an accessibility program should function within your organization.

Level-of-Effort Assessment

Need to figure out the cost of your accessibility project? Deque’s Level-of-Effort (LoE) Assessment is the most cost-effective way to get a reliable estimate of the magnitude and cost of an accessibility remediation project.

With the LoE Assessment, you get a report that indicates the number of pages to fix, the number of defects on each page and several sample defects. We can also work with you to write your internal estimate of project costs.

Risk Assessment

Need to make a case describing your web and mobile accessibility problems and the risks of not addressing them? Deque’s experts can look at your website and apps and identify barriers that a user with disabilities might encounter. Our report illustrates the most significant barriers on the website, and includes information about cases where such barriers had to be fixed as a result of litigation or regulation.

We can also work with you to create your case for action.
