Deque Systems is presenting a panel of government and industry experts to discuss the challenges of building a successful Section 508 program as well as some innovative approaches to executing that program. On June 4th, 2014 at 8:30am at the National Press Club, panelists will discuss the tools and expertise required to assure your federal clients that you can deliver digital content and applications accessibly, efficiently, and to 508 specifications.

The panel will be moderated by Mark Lumer, the former Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command with over 30 years of experience working for the Federal Government.

508 Compliance Among Federal Agencies

True 508 compliance among federal agencies is not yet a reality. In the past, contractors and Federal agencies have managed to let these requirements slip or get them waived altogether, but it is increasingly clear that federal agencies are not willing to accept this lax approach to 508 compliance. According to Deque CEO Preety Kumar,  "As our society becomes more and more dependent on web and mobile access, Section 508 compliance is being taken very seriously by the Federal Government."
