It seems like everyone these days has an opinion on accessibility and DEI in tech. Yet, who are the voices that we are excluding, intentionally or not, in these conversations? Why are these discussions so popular, and why are we still arguing about whether or not race should be in alt-text?
In this talk, Alexis will speak to her experience as an accessibility practitioner and member of multiple employee resource groups to provide participants with an idea of how both worlds intersect, differ, and where they should agree to disagree. This talk is geared toward folks ready to lean into difficult conversations and show up for communities that they are not a part of in an effort to improve their professional and personal practice.
