WASHINGTON, Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Deque Systems has partnered with jQuery as their preferred accessibility sponsor with the goal to equip jQuery developers and contributors with the knowledge and tools to create code that is accessible to users with disabilities. To kick off this partnership, jQuery and Deque are hosting a JavaScript Accessibility Summit at Deque headquarters in Herndon, VA, October 10th-11th. This special 2-day event will cover the most common web accessibility issues encountered in the jQuery User Interface and jQuery Mobile, options available to remedy the most common accessibility problems found in applications that use jQuery, and techniques needed to make jQuery components accessible.

The jQuery Accessibility Summit will cover Web Accessibility Fundamentals; HTML 5 Accessibility; an Overview of ARIA, JavaScript, and Interactive Web Accessibility; jQuery Mobile Accessibility; a jQuery UI Accessibility Face-Off; and much more. There will also be an exclusive demonstration of Deque’s groundbreaking Amaze technology.
