This Thursday – May 19, 2016 – is the fifth annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day, an event started by Joe Devon and Jennison Asuncion to help further the cause and bring awareness to digital accessibility. Every year the list of participants grows as more events are scheduled around the globe, and every year Deque is excited to find new ways to contribute.
We are very pleased to announce that on May 19th, we will be making the Deque University online web accessibility curriculum available to people with disabilities for free. The full details of this offer will be shared on Global Accessibility Awareness Day, so stay tuned to the blog to learn more
This year, Deque India in Hyderabad is hosting a full afternoon of free accessibility seminars covering:
- A11Y trends
- WCAG Overview
- A11Y testing with aXe
- IAAP Certification
- Intro to Mobile A11Y
The event will also include individual demonstrations of aXe and WorldSpace Attest. Visit gaad.dequeindia.com to learn more and sign up.
