Headshot of Stephen Cutchins
axe-con presenter in 2026

With over 25 years of experience helping organizations and companies achieve their accessibility goals, Stephen brings deep expertise and personal passion to his work. Throughout his career in IT consulting, he led accessibility programs that focused on making technology more inclusive, working closely with individuals who are Blind, Deaf, or have physical disabilities. His first hand experience with how People with Disabilities use the web has shaped his approach to accessibility as both a technical and human-centered practice.

Stephen joined Cvent about four years ago and now serves as Senior Manager for Accessibility. In this role, he is dedicated to ensuring that Cvent’s products are not only compliant but also truly usable and enjoyable for attendees with disabilities.

Accessibility is also deeply personal for Stephen. He has Tourette Syndrome, his mother was an amputee, and he grew up with two cousins who used wheelchairs. These lived experiences fuel his lifelong commitment to building a more inclusive digital world.
