Alyssa Shock, PsyD. is a technology instructor for blind and low vision individuals, mentor to blind and low vision youth, and a research fellow at the American Foundation for the Blind. She holds a PsyD in Counseling Psychology from Springfield College and has experience working in both community and college mental health settings. She is passionate about research, having completed a dissertation on how nonmeditators perceive meditation to impact well-being, and is now a member of AFB research teams focused on aging and vision loss and the accessibility of artificial intelligence.
