Staff Accountant
Position description
Deque is seeking a full time Staff Accountant to join the Accounting Department. This individual will be responsible for various accounting duties including multi-entity balance sheet reconciliations, month end billing, renewal billing and subscription management. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, a multi-tasker, and able to work independently.
Responsibilities

Participate in the day-to-day accounting operations, including processing AR or AP transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records for multiple entities

Experience in interpreting contracts as they relate to ASC 606

Help maintain customer and vendor records for multi entities

Prepare accurate invoices for customers during initial billing, month end billing, and renewals

Investigate and resolve all renewal billing issues or questions

Subscription Management including accurate data in CRM and Accounting system and ability to create reporting

Assist management in month end accounting close process

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations such as deferred revenue, prepaid, fixed assets

Support with setting up new reconciliation schedules for accounts such as Accrued Commissions, Accrued Vacation, Deferred Revenue for subsidiaries

Analyze and reconcile revenue between financial and forecast

Make journal entries as needed

Support with annual audit process by keeping accurate recordkeeping, maintaining detailed reconciliations, pull sample support

Help maintain a documented system of administrative policies and procedures

Complete or assist with other assignments/projects as needed

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
Requirements

Four-year degree in accounting or in related field

2-4 years of professional experience in accounting

Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a fast pace, high performance company environment

Expert in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)

Must be highly organized self- starter and be able to operate independently

Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external customers
