On Monday, July 22nd, at 4pm EDT we'll be having the July #a11ychat. This month we're revisiting April's topic: "Violation or Best Practice?" We will discuss some more of the many accessibility guidelines whose interpretation can sometimes be ambiguous - accessibility issues that are often perceived as actual violations that may in fact only be best practice (and vice versa). Join the Deque Team for discussion. We'd love your input!

CTIA Webinar

On July 24th Deque CEO Preety Kumar will be speaking in a Accessibility Outreach Initiative webinar hosted by CTIA - the Wireless Association. The webinar will serve as an introduction to web accessibility at the corporate level and will only be open to CTIA members.

From their website: "CTIA-The Wireless Association® is an international nonprofit membership organization that has represented the wireless communications industry since 1984. Membership in the association includes wireless carriers and their suppliers, as well as providers and manufacturers of wireless data services and products."

For over fifteen years, Deque has been helping major corporations, government agencies, and other organizations ensure that their websites and mobile apps are accessible to everyone. We have more than fifteen years of history of serving the federal government, including undertaking the biggest accessibility program that's occurred in the United States government or anywhere. Deque also works with .edu's and mission-focused nonprofits to ensure that their materials and systems are usable and barrier free for users with disabilities. The company invented the first accessibility plug-in software, the first web-based testing platform, and the first server-based accessibility solution. All of these have been created in the service of helping our customers become accessible, advance the goals of their organization, and remove barriers for all users on the web.
