Deque Press ReleaseHerndon, Virginia--Nearly two decades after the original Section 508 Standards were issued, a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) makes the transition to the Section 508 Refresh imminent. Deque has compiled the breadth of its technology, training, content and functional expertise to help make this transition easier for Federal Government Agencies and Contractors.

Commenting on the NPRM, Preety Kumar, CEO of Deque said, "The 508 Refresh is a giant leap forward for accessibility in the United States, replacing the outdated standard with the internationally accepted WCAG 2.0, and addressing mobile, dynamic web application and real time communication. The effective date of the 508 Refresh may seem like it is still a long way off but by engaging Deque today, we can help Government Organizations to minimize the negative impact and cost.
