Course Synopsis

An overview of accessibility of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), relevant legislation & standards, and a review of the range of Assistive Technologies and their usage by people with disabilities. This half-day course gives you the basics of challenges faced by people with disabilities.

Introduction to Accessibility concepts
Overview of US Domestic Legislation, International Legislation, and standards
An understanding of the accessibility challenges faced by users with disabilities
Review of assistive technologies commonly in use by users with disabilities
